Nik's Hero

My nephew, Zachary, plays baseball (obviously) and is currently on an All Stars Team in Tacoma where he lives. So for the Fourth of July we all went up there for the Freedom Festival and also to watch Zach in a couple of his games. It was fun to watch him, though i sadly put my camera away to carry Lukas when Zach caught a ball in outfield to get someone out. ( i am so ignorant when it comes to baseball terms, i'm sure there was a better way of saying that).
Nikolas absolutely adores Zachary and wants to be just like him. After the game Zach and his friends played ball with Nik which was HUGE for a two year old to be playing ball with BIG 12 year olds! He was really hilarious as every time he would throw a ball his little leg would come up like so. He had a little crowd watching him and smiling as it was too cute:)
This is him sliding into the base as he saw the big kids do during the game.

Well, Zach's team placed third out of 11 in the tournament. Now we have the welcome 6 month drought before baseball starts again, but don't worry Nik! We have track and cross country starting in just over a month!
We have to broaden your sports choices since your ma will funnel you into soccer and climbing.

Becca....your children are so darn cute! I love the way Nik's leg goes up when he throws the ball. Simply adorable! And Lukas is just the cutest little thing! I'm sure he's stoked now that he can sit up on his own. I can't wait to see you again.
